Description
This course provides an overview of the API 5L standard, enabling participants to understand the key technical and quality requirements applicable to line pipes. The training supports informed evaluation of RFQs, correct product designation, testing requirements, and compliance with project‑specific technical specifications.
At the end of this course, you will be able to:

Understand the scope and main requirements of the API 5L standard.

Identify the minimum technical criteria required to accept and review an RFQ for API 5L pipes.

Recognize JESCO’s dimensional ranges applicable to API 5L line pipes.

Understand required destructive and non‑destructive testing for API 5L products.

Differentiate line pipe designations (e.g. Sour Service, Offshore, Class IV) and their key technical requirements.

Identify common additional technical requirements specified in line pipe projects.

Support compliance with API 5L, customer specifications, and project requirements.
