Course Description
This course provides a comprehensive guide to the 6 Life-Saving Safety Golden Rules (Revised 2026). These six key behaviours are essential to preventing fatal injuries in the workplace. Using the acronym SAFETY to help employees remember them, the course covers critical, non-negotiable safety standards that every employee and contractor must know, understand, and strictly apply at all times within our premises. These are not “nice to know” guidelines; they are “must know and follow” directives. Any violation of these rules will lead to serious disciplinary consequences at all levels.
Course Objectives
- By the end of this training course, you will be able to:
- Understand the 6 Golden Rules and their critical role in preventing fatal injuries.
- Identify and avoid line-of-fire hazards, including suspended loads, hot surfaces, and electrical risks.
- Apply proper Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) protocols to isolate hazardous energy sources.
- Analyze workplace hazards effectively using Risk Assessments, JSAs, and SOPs.
- Take total ownership of your safety and understand the disciplinary consequences of safety violations.
- Exercise immediate stop-work authority if any safety rule is compromised.
